Born in 1975, Brad grew up on California's central coast, moving to Connecticut to attend Yale University, where he studied architecture, art history, and German language.

After spending several years in NYC, he moved to Illinois in 2004, where he received his MFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

After a year of teaching photography in Chicago, Brad and his brilliant wife moved back to Brooklyn in 2007, where they currently reside.
